SC East Bengal assistant coach Tony Grant thinks Friday’s ISL match against Hyderabad FC at the Tilak Maidan here would be their toughest test yet.
“It’s going to be a tough game. They are few points ahead of us so they have got more to try and hold on to,” he said.
Hyderabad FC, who are fourth on the table, have 23 points from 16 matches, while East Bengal have 16 from 16 matches. FC Goa and Northeast United FC are also on 23 points and a victory will boost Hyderabad FC’s chance of earning a play-off berth.
To get anything out of the match, East Bengal will have to be at their best in the final third. They have scored the lowest number of goals from open play (seven) and talisman Bright Enobakhare has faded after a promising start.
