Roger Federer, who is currently busy with the Wimbledon, will be part of the Switzerland contingent at the Tokyo Olympics which begin on July 23.
The Swiss tennis legend will take part in the men's singles event, the Swiss Olympic Association informed on Monday.
Federer was not part of the Rio Olympics in 2016 due to a knee injury. He has won a gold medal in the doubles event at Beijing 2008, and followed it up with a singles silver at London 2012, where Great Britain's Andy Murray had won gold.
Among the women in the Switzerland contingent, there's Belinda Bencic and Viktorija Golubic. Federer is the only male tennis player in the Swiss camp.
Switzerland will send as many as 116 athletes to the Tokyo Games; 105 athletes from the country had attended Rio 2016.
At Wimbledon...
Federer entered the fourth round of the Championships for a record-extending 18th time. The 39-year-old beat Cameron Norrie 6-4, 6-4, 5-7, 6-4 on Centre Court.
The eight-time Wimbledon champion had a slight wobble in the third set when he missed two break points at 5-5 and was then broken at love by Norrie. After trading breaks in the fourth set, Federer broke again for a 5-4 lead. He will play No 23-seeded Lorenzo Sonego of Italy on Monday. It's the 69th time that Federer has reached the fourth round of a Grand Slam tournament, also a record.
Norrie was the last British man remaining in the tournament.
