Team spirit and sporting skills get spectacularly displayed at JBG Endura T10 League

It is an amateur cricket tournament for corporates marked by the spirit of friendship cooperation and competition

An amateur cricket tournament for corporates, the JBG Endura T10 League — Team Banao Khelne Aao, in association with The Telegraph, was a competition marked by the spirit of friendship, cooperation and competition. Jointly hosted by Jai Balaji Group and Speaking Mirror, it was held at the TurfXL cricket club in New Alipore, and was participated by 32 teams from various corporate organisations in Calcutta. The competition, which began on January 14, witnessed tough encounters in which players displayed extraordinary talent. After fiercely competitive elimination rounds, Metiabruz Warriors and Bajrang Dal reached the final, while David & Goliath Shorts claimed the third spot. The final match, played on January 21, was won by Metiabruz Warriors, with Bajrang Dal being declared the runner-up. The top three teams were awarded attractive cash prizes and the player of the tournament was awarded a motorbike at a glittering award ceremony after the final match ended. Snapshots.

“I am enjoying myself watching people of the corporate sector battling it out on the cricket field. It feels good to see the fighting spirit, enthusiasm and energy in this amateur group of players. Thank you boys, for the entertainment!” said actress Moubani Sorcar, who was there to support and cheer the finalists.

To be placed second among 32 teams is a huge confidence boost for us and has regenerated our love and passion for the sport. Next year we'll be back to win it all. JBG Endura T10 League was a fantastic initiative. To be an amateur and have the opportunity to play in a tournament which makes you feel like an international player is just amazing,” said Bajrang Dal captain Manav Surana.

“The first edition of JBG Endura T10 League saw 32 teams come together and fight for the coveted trophy. We wish to make this the most desired corporate amateur tournament in India in the years to come. Next year, it shall be bigger and grander,” said honorary secretary of JBG Endura T10 League, Joydeep Sen.

“We are glad that everyone had a great time in the first edition of JBG Endura T10 League, we only hope to go upwards and onwards from here. The sporting spirit of the teams was incredibly high. We, at JBG, shall continue to promote sporting events throughout the year,” said Gaurav Jajodia, director of Jai Balaji Group.
