BCCI plans to start the domestic season on January 10 with the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy, it said in an email to the state associations.
The Board, after taking feedback from the associations, will decide only after the group stage of the national T20s if any other tournament/s can be organised.
The national T20s conclude on January 31 and teams have to assemble at their respective bio-secure hubs by January 2.
It is a possibility that the Ranji Trophy may be scrapped this season.
The Bengal cricketers, however, are all set to begin their preparatory camp “tentatively” on Thursday.
