The special general meeting of Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) to elect its new president and secretary will be held on February 5.
The decision was finalised after an informal meeting on Wednesday. Initially, it was supposed to be held towards the end of this month.
“It had to be postponed as the CAB’s electoral officer (Susanta Ranjan Upadhyaya) will be occupied during the period that had been discussed earlier,” a source said. The notice for the SGM will be issued by Friday or early next week.
Avishek Dalmiya, the current secretary, is likely to be the new president with Snehasish Ganguly ahead in the race for the secretary’s post.
