Sourav Ganguly, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president, is in no hurry to take a call on Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s future.

Sourav believes things will get clearer in a few months. “We will see what happens, there’s enough time. It will get clearer within three-four months,” Sourav said on the sidelines of a felicitation ceremony organised by Ajanta Shoes, on Friday.

Dhoni last played for India in the World Cup semi-final on July 9 against New Zealand.

On Wednesday, Dhoni had said questions regarding his return to cricket should only be asked after January 2020.

Sourav, however, said there is “absolute clarity” among the team management on how to deal with Dhoni’s future.

“There is clarity between the Board, Dhoni and the selectors, but certain things cannot be said in public. When you deal with champions, certain things have to be within closed doors.

“Dhoni is an unbelievable athlete for India. It’s very transparent and everybody knows where they stand, but I don’t want to say anything in public,” Sourav said.
