Shikhar Dhawan will lead the India squad, which will tour Sri Lanka for three ODIs and three T20Is next month. Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be the vice-captain, the BCCI announced on Thursday.
With several regulars busy with the Test side in England, youngsters like Devdutt Padikkal, Ruturaj Gaikwad, K. Gowtham, Nitish Rana and Chetan Sakariya expectedly feature in the 20-member squad that has two wicket-keepers — Ishan Kishan and Sanju Samson. Shreyas Iyer wasn’t considered since he is yet to recover from injury. Bengal’s Ishan Porel has been named among the net bowlers.
