SC East Bengal coach Robbie Fowler was happy after his team recorded the first victory in ISL VII.
“It’s always nice to get a win. This is also our first win. It is unbelievable. After this win, we have now lost only once in our last five games. It was a good professional performance.
“This club is all about progression. We are building, there is a lot of work to be done and we will continue to do that. It is a great win and a great start to the New Year and hopefully it will continue,” Fowler said on Sunday.
Fowler said he always believed that a victory was round the corner.
“I have said this all along that if we keep playing well the win will come. I had said weeks back that the results are just round the corner and we have done that.
“We made a few changes and it was important that we get the win. I think all the players were impressive. A few new players came in today. (Anthony) Pilkington was once again superb, Jacques Maghoma probably had his best game, he was brilliant.”
The former Liverpool striker added that there was no change in the playing style.
