Bronze medallist PV Sindhu on arrival at the New Delhi airport on Tuesday.
The 26-year-old reigning world champion — the only Indian woman to win two Olympic medals — received a warm welcome on her return after her performance at the Tokyo Games.
Badminton Association of India general secretary Ajay Singhania, along with other officials of Sports Authority of India, received her.
Singhania also felicitated Sindhu and her coach Park Tae-Sang at the airport.
“It is an exciting day and happy moment,” Sindhu, who beat He Bing Jiao for the bronze, said.
