New Delhi: Indian heptathletes Soma Biswas and Sushmita Singha Roy had a forgettable first day at the World Combined Events Challenge in Desenzano, Italy.
According to information received here, Soma was in 17th spot after four events with a tally of 3,163 points. Sushmita, with 3,160 points, was a slot lower.
Leading the pack was Ukraine’s Ganna Melnychenko with 3,587 points. Poland’s Karolina Tyminska (3,573) was in second spot, followed by American Lela Nelson (3,495).
