After back-to-back defeats, ATK Mohun Bagan managed a point from their match against Chennaiyin FC in the ISL on Saturday.

The 1-1 draw at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Margao, Goa, also enabled the Chennai side to maintain their unbeaten run so far in the tournament.

Colaco had the first attempt of the game when he shot from distance trying to catch Chennai goalkeeper Vishal Kaith out in the sixth minute but his effort was not on target.
It was not long before the Goan found success when he made the most off a fine through from Roy Krishna to give Antonio Habas’ team the lead.

The goal woke Chennaiyin up and they started dictating terms. Koman came close to restoring parity in the 27th minute as he drilled a low shot that just evaded the target after a brilliant passing move.
Anirudh Thapa too came very close to scoring two minutes later, but his shot was deflected away from the target.

Bozidar Bandovic’s side kept up the pressure on Bagan, who kept their defence tight. But on the stroke of half-time, Bagan’s resistance broke when Koman fired past goalkeeper Amrinder Singh after latching onto a loose ball following a long throw-in.

The second half saw both the teams create opportunities but none could make use of them. Bagan’s Joni Kauko faltered from close range in the 62nd minute.
