Mohammedan Sporting recorded their second victory on the trot in the I-League Qualifiers, defeating ARA FC 4-1 at the Salt Lake Stadium on Sunday afternoon, and in the evening parted ways with coach Yan Law.
Even though no official reasons were given, it was learnt that the club was not happy with the way Law was going about his work.
“Mohammedan Sporting have terminated the contract with head coach Yan Law,” the club said .
One source said the club did not like Law’s proximity to football official Ranjit Bajaj, who had come here to oversee selection trials for Delhi FC.
“I did not want to continue as coach,” Law said.
Bajaj said from Chandigarh that he would file a criminal and civil defamation case against Mohammedan Sporting officials, Wasim Akram and Dipendu Biswas, for spreading false allegations against him.
