The 130th edition of the Durand Cup will begin on Sunday with Mohammedan Sporting Club, the first Indian winners of the tournament in 1940, taking on Indian Air Force at Salt Lake Stadium.

Mohammedan Sporting’s Russian coach, Andrey Chernyshov, said his team will take one game at a time. “There is going to be pressure in every game and every tournament. The fans and the club’s management expect us to win. We have discussed a lot about this with the players and they are ready for it,” Chernyshov said.

“We have gathered a lot of good players who create a strong team. We are always focused on the game that awaits us,” he added.
