The spotlight on Wednesday will be on Nabanna, the state secretariat, where representatives of East Bengal and investor Shree Cement Limited will meet in the presence of Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee in an effort to break the deadlock over the final agreement.
Insiders claimed that both the parties are optimistic of a solution.
A source in the know of things said that with the chief minister herself taking the initiative to broker peace, both the parties would most likely agree on the final agreement. If there is no further differences of opinion, the deal can be quickly sealed, even as early as on Thursday, to ensure that SC East Bengal continue to play in the ISL.
The team building process can only start after that.
Mamata had on Monday said that Shree Cement had written a letter to her government expressing unwillingness to continue investing in East Bengal.
