Chennai: Shashank Manohar, one of Narayanswami Srinivasan's staunchest critics, has arrived to attend Monday's AGM of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

Manohar, who is a former president, is seen as being very close to predecessor Sharad Pawar. The latter, too, has been after Srinivasan.

Pawar, by the way, arrived in the latter part of Saturday evening and almost immediately went into a huddle with Manohar.

Manohar is Pawar's principal strategist.

The last time that Manohar attended any meeting of the BCCI was, of course, 10 months ago, in Mumbai.

"I haven't come to create hungama. I'm here because quite a few people requested that I come and do my bit to stop this regime...

"At this point in time, I can't confirm what Mr Pawar's plans are...

"What I can say is that I'm not a candidate," Manohar, who will be representing the Vidarbha Cricket Association, told The Telegraph at the ITC Sheraton Park.
