La Liga and Nadal Academy join hands

There will be sharing of experience and knowledge and launch of a series of joint projects and initiatives

Rafael Nadal and La Liga are undoubtedly two of the biggest names in the world of sport. And when they come together, expectations from the outcome is bound to be sky high.

On Monday, Spanish football league La Liga and the Rafa Nadal Academy announced a collaboration which would span over three years. The announcement was made in the presence of Nadal and La Liga president Javier Tebas during a virtual conference attended by international media.

There will be sharing of experience and knowledge and launch of a series of joint projects and initiatives.

Asked what he expected from the tie-up, Nadal said: “Since we opened the Academy in 2016, we have grown consistently both nationally and internationally. We believe that this collaboration with La Liga will be of great value to us. Our teams have already been working together for some very exciting projects. I’m sure that this partnership will be very positive.”

Tebas said: “Rafa is respected for his hard work, integrity and commitment and his academy values those principles. La Liga too instils such values in young people.

“Rafa and his team will help to promote the values that are fundamental to us and to give even greater visibility to the La Liga brand,” he said.
