Mumbai Indians have one of the strongest bowling attacks in this IPL. But in their previous game, they failed to defend a 196-run target, which Rajasthan Royals chased down comfortably in spite of losing two early wickets.

Mumbai bowlers will have their task cut out again when they come across the strong batting line-up of Royal Challengers Bangalore in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday. If Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers get going, Kieron Pollard and his teammates could be up for a harrowing time once again. So the Mumbai bowlers need to be very careful of the lines and lengths they bowl. However, Jasprit Bumrah feels there’s no need to make drastic changes after just one disappointing game with the ball.

“We are still very happy, we are still very clear and we have nothing that we need to change drastically. It’s just that the opposition played better than you on a particular day. You have to just say to them, ‘Well played’, and move forward,” Bumrah said on Tuesday.

“We have (again) got good bowlers this year... Trent Boult, James Pattinson and even (Nathan) Coulter-Nile, so it has always been very good to bowl with them,” he added.

The last time when the two teams met, RCB prevailed over Mumbai in the Super Over. Bumrah said that he takes into consideration factors such as boundary sizes and the pitch before bowling in the Super Over and then chooses his options.

Asked about the difference in bowling a final over during a run chase and a Super Over, Bumrah said: “It is difficult to just categorise at one go, but it is different.

“It depends on people. But for me, I just try to keep things simple, try to assess the wicket, the situation, the boundary sizes and all of that, and then choose my options. “It’s very difficult to just say, ‘Oh, you should bowl yorkers or you should bowl slower ones’.”
