Inzamam-ul Haq has claimed that the difference between India and Pakistan during his playing days was that the Indian batsmen would play to secure their respective places in the team whereas their Pakistan counterparts played for the team.

Inzamam aired his views during a talk show with former teammate Ramiz Raja on the latter’s YouTube channel.

Inzamam also spoke about how skipper Imran Khan would never axe players if they went through a bad series.

Trying to emphasise, Inzamam brought up the comparison with India: “During our time, India had a very strong batting line-up than us on paper. But if one of us made even 30-40 runs, we made it for the team. But if an Indian player scored a century, it wouldn’t be for the team.”
