The quarter-finals will start from Monday. Transnational Cup open teams championship also will begin from Monday.

Neither of the Indian teams could finish within the top eight.

Team India were slightly unlucky on Sunday as they lost their first match against Canada due to system advantage of the latter.

They lost heavily to them and could not recover even though they won the next two matches.

Brazil were holding onto the eighth position midway through the last round.

They misbid 6nt whereas 6 Spades was ice cold gifting 14 IMPs to the Bulgarians and could not recover from the 10th position.

They had a tough opponent in Bulgaria in the last round.

Sweden were lucky to have a weaker opposition like Egypt and inflicted heavy defeat on them to finish eighth.

Other seven teams qualified on a predictable line.

Denmark topped the list in the Venice Cup for ladies.
