Rohit Sharma feels the quality of their team is showing on the field as Mumbai Indians moved to the top of the table with a convincing 57-run win over Rajasthan Royals on Tuesday.
“We strive to be out there and play well. We have a lot of quality and it’s about getting the job done,” said Rohit.
The new-ball attack comprising Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah and James Pattinson is making the difference with vital breakthroughs in every match and Rohit acknowledged their effort.
“The conditions are helpful here for the quick bowlers. It was nipping around to start with and it’s good to have bowlers who can exploit the conditions. We also worked a lot on our fielding, because it’s one of the controllables in the game,” Rohit said.
He was also all praise for Man of the Match Suryakumar Yadav’s 79 not out off 47 balls.
“A good Surya innings was coming... We wanted him to bat till the end because he can innovate rather well and it came in handy,” said the Mumbai Indians captain.
