Glenn Phillips smashed the fastest Twenty20I hundred for New Zealand to help the hosts to a 72-run win against West Indies on Sunday and an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

Phillips hit eight sixes and 10 fours in his 108 off 51 balls as the hosts posted a massive 238 for three in their 20 overs after they were put in to bat first at Mount Maunganui.

Malan stars in victory

Dawid Malan returned to his hometown on Sunday to steer England to a four-wicket win over South Africa in their second T20I as they clinched the three-match series, taking an unassailable 2-0 lead.

Malan scored 55 off 40 balls to help England reach the target of 147 set by South Africa. England reached the target losing six wickets.
