Australia overcame a few anxious moments before getting past Bangladesh by five-wickets, a win that ensured them a top-of-the-table finish after the group stage matches of the ICC Women’s World Cup here on Friday.

Australia reduced Bangladesh to 135/6 and then reached the target in 32.1 overs.

Brief scores: Bangladesh Women 135/6 in 43 overs (Lata Mondol 33; Jess Jonassen 2/13, Ashleigh Gardner 2/23). Australia Women 136/5 in 32.1 overs (Beth Mooney 66 no; Salma Khatun 3/23).
