Harbhajan Singh and Yuvraj Singh were trolled by fans for supporting and pledging donation to former Pakistan captain and all-rounder Shahid Afridi’s foundation.
Afridi has been helping those suffering from the Covid-19 pandemic in Pakistan via the Shahid Afridi Foundation and their families. The 40-year-old has been donating food, disinfectant soaps, masks and other amenities to the needy.
The two former India cricketers too decided to help the Pakistan legend. Harbhajan first shared a video message on Twitter and urged others to help Afridi’s foundation, having tagged Wasim Akram, Yuvraj and Shoaib Akhtar to do the same.
“The world is passing through extreme testing and unprecedented times. Let’s do our bit to help @SAfridiOfficial @SAFoundationN doing gr8 work plz join hands with them nd contribute whatever u can donatekarona.com for covid19,” said the former India off-spinner’s video message on his Twitter handle.
Yuvraj then also came out in support of Afridi’s foundation. “These are testing times, it’s time to lookout for each other specially the ones who are lesser fortunate. Lets do our bit, I am supporting @SAfridiOfficial & @SAFoundationN in this noble initiative of covid19.
