Spanish defender Sergio Ramos is leaving French champions Paris St Germain, the Ligue 1 club said on Friday.
The 37-year-old arrived at Parc des Princes on a free transfer before the 2021-22 season after failing to reach an agreement to extend his 16-year stay at Real Madrid.
Argentine superstar Lionel is also leaving the club. “After two seasons in the French capital, Leo Messi’s adventure with Paris St Germain will come to an end at the conclusion of the 2022–23 campaign,” PSG said in a statement.
Ramos, the experienced centre-back, who won the World Cup and two Euros with Spain plus a multitude of trophies at Real Madrid, will leave the French capital with his contract expiring.
Zlatan decision
Striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not extend his contract with AC Milan, the Serie A club said on Saturday.
The 41-year-old Swedish international’s contract expires at the end of June and will not be renewed following a season plagued by injuries.
Ibrahimovic has played only four matches in Serie A this season.
