The India junior girls team defeated defending champion Bangladesh by a solitary goal at JRD Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur on Saturday.
After the end of the first leg of league matches of the U-18 Women’s South Asia Football Federation (SAAF) championship, India remained on top of the points table with six points.They have won two matches, the first being against Nepal which they won 7-0 on Tuesday.
India’s winner was scored by Nitu Linda in the 63rd minute, after she was set up by Ritu Devi.
