Michael Olise scored a stoppage-time penalty as Crystal Palace clawed back from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Manchester City in the Premier League at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

The draw kept City, who were without their league-leading scorer Erling Haaland due to a foot injury, in fourth place on the table on 34 points. Palace are 15th with 17 points, eight above the drop zone.

With the visitors trailing 0-2, Jean-Philippe Mateta pulled one goal back for them when he scored from close range in the 76th minute. Palace were awarded a penalty in the 95th minute, to boos from the Etihad crowd, after Mateta was taken down by Phil Foden. Olise slotted the ball past City keeper Ederson for the unexpected draw.

City’s Jack Grealish scored for the third consecutive Premier League match for the first time in his career in the 24th minute, collecting the ball from Foden and putting it to the left of keeper Dean Henderson. A lengthy VAR review ruled it narrowly onside.

City doubled their lead in the 54th minute when the ball was bundled through to Rico Lewis who thumped it into the bottom left corner.

Match suspended

The Premier League match between Bournemouth and visitors Luton Town was abandoned in the 65th minute after Luton captain Tom Lockyer collapsed on the pitch on Saturday. The score was 1-1 when the 29-year-old fell to the ground with no other player near him, and players and Luton manager Rob Edwards reacted immediately to get medical attention.

Lockyer was carried off on a stretcher to applause from the crowd after the players had left the field, and the stadium announcer later informed the crowd that the match had been abandoned. “All our thoughts are with Tom Lockyer at this time,” Luton posted on X.

Centre-back Lockyer also collapsed during Luton’s promotion play-off final win against Coventry City at Wembley on May 27.

He spent five days in the hospital and had an operation to fix an atrial fibrillation, before returning for pre-season training at Luton after receiving the all-clear.

Richarlison fires

On Friday, the Richarlison renaissance at Tottenham continued to gather momentum. The Brazilian got his third goal inside a week and provided further evidence that he can flourish under Ange Postecoglou as Tottenham beat Nottingham Forest 2-0.

Dejan Kulusevski scored the second goal and provided the assist for Richarlison, which means he has now created 17 goals in the Premier League.

Spurs played with 10 men after the 70th when Yves Bissouma was red-carded for a studs-up foul on Ryan Yates.

Juventus miss chance to climb atop table

Juventus missed a chance to return to the top of the Serie A when Genoa came from behind to draw 1-1.

The Turin giants started the day two points behind leader Inter Milan and although the gap was halved, Inter can extend their lead on Sunday when they play Lazio.

Juventus forward Federico Chiesa fired home a penalty in the first half, but the home side equalised in the second half thanks to Icelandic striker Albert Gudmundsson.

In French Ligue 1, Fabio Grosso’s Lyon renaissance continued when they beat title contenders Monaco 1-0. In La Liga, Raúl García scored to give Osasuna a 1-0 win against Rayo Vallecano.
