Odisha FC fought hard to secure a 2-1 win over Mohun Bagan Super Giant in the first leg of their ISL semi-final fixture at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday. The Juggernauts thus secured their first-ever ISL win over Bagan after nine attempts.

Manvir Singh gave Bagan a lead as early as in the third minute. But Carlos Delgado and former Bagan striker Roy Krishna scored once each for Odisha FC to help their team maintain an unbeaten streak at home this season (13 matches) before going into the second leg of this last-four clash at the Salt Lake Stadium on Sunday.

Both teams though were down to 10 men each in the end as Delgado and Bagan forward Armando Sadiku were sent off in the 74th and 67th minutes, respectively, for double booking. Bagan made it 1-0 when Manvir headed home a cross from Dimitrios Petratos. Their lead lasted barely nine minutes when Delgado converted Ahmed Jahouh's corner with a header.

But what really stung Bagan was when Roy broke through with what turned out to be the winner for Odisha FC in the 39th minute. Odisha FC goalkeeper Amrinder Singh put in a long ball towards Roy, who sprinted past Hector Yuste and beat Bagan custodian Vishal Kaith comfortably.
