Mumbai City FC set up ISL-X final date with Mohun Bagan Super Giant at the Salt Lake Stadium on May 4 after defeating FC Goa 2-0 in the second leg of their semi-final fixture at the Mumbai Football Arena on Monday.
The aggregate score read 5-2.
The Petr Kratky-coached side thus will have a chance to take a shot at becoming the ISL Cup winners after Bagan beat them 2-1 to become the ISL champions two weeks back.
Leading 3-2 from the first leg, a strike each by Jorge Pereyra Diaz and Lallianzuala Chhangte in the second half ensured that the Gaurs didn’t produce a late comeback.
Chhangte, with nine strikes to his name this term before this game, was a teasing presence around the FC Goa defence. His goal in the 83rd minute was a result of FC Goa going all-out after the overall aggregate read 4-2 against them.
Vikram Partap Singh and Chhangte teamed up to slice open the backline of the Gaurs.
