Gokulam and Indian Army Red are the other two sides who would compete in the last-eight stage.

In Guwahati, Indian Army Red will cross swords with NorthEast United FC on Thursday, while the formidable FC Goa will compete against Chennaiyin FC on Saturday.

In the last round of group matches on Tuesday, Aaren D’Silva scored a hat-trick to guide Hyderabad FC to a comfortable 3-0 win over Nepal’s Tribhuvan Army FC in Guwahati. Hyderabad finished second in their group, behind Chennaiyin.

D’Silva’s hat-trick was the fifth overall in the tournament and the fourth by an Indian.

A total of 24 teams — divided in six groups — competed in the group stages this time. The group-toppers, along with the two best second-placed teams have qualified for the quarters.
