Mohun Bagan Super Giant's new head coach Antonio Lopez Habas finally arrived in Calcutta on Monday. Habas replaced compatriot Juan Ferrando two weeks back.

The Spaniard will fly to Bhubaneswar on Tuesday morning to join the squad, which played and won two matches of the ongoing Super Cup under assistant coach Clifford Miranda.

As Bagan prepare for Friday's crucial derby against East Bengal, Habas's arrival will be a definite boost. After all, he is not new to the derby mood and knows what it takes to register a win in this highly-energised clash.

The Group A tie will decide who qualify for the semi-final. Both East Bengal and Bagan have six points and the same goal difference of + 2 but the former have the pole position by scoring one goal more than their arch-rivals. A draw will be enough for them to advance while Habas's men will have to log full points.

"It will be a challenging task, but we will be ready for the job. I have been in constant touch with Clifford (Miranda) and once I reach Bhubaneswar I will meet him and the players. Teamwork will help us to find a way," Habas, 57, was quoted as saying in a Mohun Bagan Super Giant media release on Monday.
