Mohun Bagan Super Giant coach Antonio Lopez Habas said he would treat Tuesday's match against Odisha FC like a league game.
The ISL-X League Shield winners face Odisha FC in the first leg of the first semi-final at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.
“We are preparing for this match like any other league match. We need to win this match. We can’t think about the second leg, that is how we think about it. We have to play the match with the same responsibility as we did for any league game,” Habas said at a news conference on Sunday.
The two teams have met each other four times this season. Both have won one match each in the AFC Cup, and in the ISL-X, the games ended in a draw.
“I am not thinking about the past. I live in the present. Odisha are very difficult opponents because they have a very good coach in Sergio Lobera. They have players with experience and it will be a difficult match for us," Habas added.
Habas also said Sahal Abdul Samad has recovered from injury. “Sahal is 100 per cent fit. We have the entire squad available," the Spaniard informed.
