Mohammedan Sporting defeated Mohun Bagan Super Giant 2-0 in a Super Six match of the Calcutta Football League at the Kishore Bharati Stadium on Friday and the result helped them record a hat-trick of league title wins.

Lalremsanga (13th minute) and David (37th) scored the goals for Mohammedan Sporting in the first half.

Overall, this was the 14th CFL title for the club.

Though Mohun Bagan dominated the share of possession, Mohammedan Sporting were the better-attacking side with eight shots on target as compared to only three from their rivals.

Lalremsanga netted the opener when he headed in from a corner with the Bagan defence all at sea. Bagan tried to fight back but their final passes lacked precision.

David sealed the win with a brilliant individual effort, outfoxing the rival defence and the keeper.
