Coach Luis Enrique’s PSG was routed 4-1 by Newcastle in the Champions League
in midweek and drew its previous game 0-0 against lowly Clermont.

Earlier, Gennaro Gattuso secured his first win as Marseille coach and striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang got his first league goal for the club in a 3-0 home win against 10-man Le Havre.

Napoli defeated

Fiorentina’s Giacomo Bonaventura and Nicolas Gonzalez scored second-half goals to secure a 3-1 win at champions Napoli in Serie A on Sunday after a Victor Osimhen penalty had got the hosts back in the contest.

Fiorentina leapfrogged Napoli into fourth spot, level on 17 points with third-placed Juventus, two points behind Inter Milan and four adrift of leaders AC Milan.

Napoli are fifth on 14 points, suffered their second league defeat of the season.

AS Roma striker Romelu Lukaku scored twice as they strolled to a 4-1 victory at basement team Cagliari.

Coman brace

Kingsley Coman scored twice as Baye rn Munich eased to a 3-0 win over Freiburg but it was Bayer Leverkusen which returned to the top of the Bundesliga on Sunday.

Goals from Coman and Leroy Sané gave the 11-time defending champion their fifth win from seven league games and extended Freiburg’s miserable run in Munich.

Leverkusen produced another spectacle of attacking football in a 3-0 win over local rival Cologne that kept Xabi Alonso’s team top after this round.

Jonas Hofmann opened the scoring in the 22nd. Alex Grimaldo whipped the ball across the face of goal for Jeremie Frimpong to score the second 10 minutes later.

Cologne goalkeeper Marvin Schwäbe was powerless to stop Hofmann crossing for Victor Boniface’s easy finish to seal it.
