A double from veteran Alexis Sanchez earned Olympique de Marseille a 2-0 Ligue 1 win at Clermont on Saturday in a match delayed after police fired teargas at fighting supporters which swept across the Gabriel Montpied Stadium.

The victory moved Marseille back up to second place on 49 points, two more than Monaco who had beaten leaders Paris Saint-Germain, who have 54, 3-1 earlier on Saturday. Clermont remained 11th with 30 points.

Atalanta in top 4

Atalanta secured a 2-0 win at Lazio with goals by Davide Zappacosta and Rasmus Hojlund in the Serie A on Saturday as they overtook the hosts to break into the top four. Atalanta moved up to third spot from sixth, level on 41 points with fourth-placed AS Roma and AC Milan in fifth.

Lazio dropped one place to sixth on 39 points.

Bayern win

Bayern Munich powered to a 3-0 win over VfL Bochum on Saturday to stay a point clear atop the Bundesliga.

Thomas Mueller, who became Bayern’s record outfield player with his 428th league appearance, chased down a clearance from his own half and got possession after a weak back pass by Bochum defender Saidy Janko to open the scoring in the 41st minute.

Substitute Kingsley Coman gave Bayern a twogoal cushion four minutes after coming on, slotting the ball through keeper Manuel Riemann’s legs in the 64th, and Serge Gnabry rifled in a penalty for their third 10 minutes later to seal victory.
