The going seems to be getting tougher for head coach Carles Cuadrat as Emami East Bengal suffered their second consecutive loss in the ongoing ISL.
In Kochi on Sunday, Kerala Blasters rallied to beat Cuadrat's men 2-1 to register their first victory in the current edition and move up to sixth in the standings with three points. East Bengal, on the other hand, are second from bottom.
Though it's still early days in the competition, difficult days could well be ahead of Cuadrat given East Bengal's on-field performance so far.
East Bengal, however, had taken the lead 14 minutes into the second half when Vishnu Puthiya shot home from close range off a Dimitrios Diamantakos assist. The Blasters took only four minutes to equalise.
Off a Naocha Singh assist, Noah Sadaoui unleashed a left-footer from a difficult angle to find the target and make it 1-1. Substitute Kwame Peprah then scored the winner towards the close of play with a left-footer off Mohammed Aimen's setup.
