Spanish coach Juan Ferrando will be on the ATK Mohun Bagan bench on Wednesday, but he will be familiar with the opponents FC Goa when the two sides clash in an Indian Super League match in Margao.
Infact, he may know more about the Goan outfit since he joined ATK Mohun Bagan from FC Goa only earlier this month, after Antonio Lopez Habas parted ways with the Mariners following disappointing results.
Ferrando got off to a winning start as the green and maroon brigade beat NorthEast United FC 3-2. Derrick Pereira took over from Ferrando as FC Goa coach.
For ATK Mohun Bagan, Ferrando’s in-depth knowledge of the opponents will be of great help. “It is difficult for me to explain my feelings... For me, it is about putting in the hard work at ATK Mohun Bagan now,” the Spaniard said at the pre-match media conference.
“It is strange preparing against your former team... but I am professional and I will try to do my best to win.”
