It was the 16-year-old Yamal’s sixth goal across all competitions in his first full season with Barcelona. He’s set several milestones for his young age, such as the youngest player to debut and to score in the Spanish league, to score for Spain, and to start in the Champions League.

Coach Xavi Hernández kept Robert Lewandowski on the bench until the final half hour, resting him before Tuesday’s Champions League match against Napoli.

Their first-leg game in Italy ended 1-1.

Napoli held

In Naples, Antonio Sanabria scored with a spectacular bicycle kick to give Torino a 1-1 draw at Napoli in Serie A and slow the Neapolitan club’s good run since coach Francesco Calzona took over.

Napoli won their last two games, including a 2-1 win over Juventus, and Friday’s game was Calzona’s fifth without defeat.
