Marcus Rashford and Luke Shaw are part of Manchester United’s squad travelling to Spain for Thursday’s Europa League quarter-final second leg against Sevilla.

The England internationals have both been out injured and it was unclear if they would be fit enough for the tie, which is finely poised at 2-2 after last week’s draw at Old Trafford.

However, after two games out for Rashford and three for Shaw, United can now call on two of their key players ahead of a crucial period of fixtures, with the FA Cup semi-final against Brighton at Wembley on Sunday.

In a further boost to manager Erik ten Hag, Marcel Sabitzer and Tyrell Malacia have also returned to the squad.

Sabitzer pulled up with a groin problem in the warm-up ahead of Sunday’s 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest and was replaced by Christian Eriksen.

Malacia, meanwhile, picked up a knock in the reverse leg against Sevilla, but is also deemed fit enough for the trip.

All four players trained with the rest of the squad on Wednesday.

Sevilla midfielder Ivan Rakitic has warned that United’s players do not know what is awaiting them.

Ahead of the crucial second leg, Rakitic told AS that the Reds will need to rely on the likes of David De Gea and Casemiro to prepare them for the challenge that awaits. “These people don’t know what awaits them on Thursday,” the Croatian explained.

“It is a team with a lot of experience and many millions, but United do not know what a packed Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan is like.”
