East Bengal will look to log their first win of ISL IX when they take on another basement club NorthEast United FC (NEUFC) in Guwahati on Thursday.

East Bengal lost both their matches — 3-1 at Kerala Blasters and a 2-1 defeat to FC Goa at home — and a win against NEUFC will surely boost their morale before the ISL Derby against ATK Mohun Bagan on October 29.

East Bengal and NEUFC are 10th and 11th respectively in the points table.

East Bengal coach Stephen Constantine, however, thinks his team is slowly getting into the groove.

“We had some good moments in the game against Kerala Blasters and kept them at bay for 72 minutes.

“Then in the second game, we were much better, and in the second half, we dominated. We played well in parts but now I think we need to put two halves together and be consistent. “

“We are starting to find a rhythm and saw this in training also. The last couple of days we have been working very hard and hopefully, on Thursday we will get a positive result,” Constantine said at a news conference here on Tuesday. The squad reached Guwahati on Wednesday evening.
