East Bengal play their first home match of ISL-XI when they face FC Goa at the Salt Lake Stadium on Friday. Winless in four consecutive matches in all competitions, East Bengal coach Carles Cuadrat is feeling the pressure.

"That's a normal thing with big clubs. Coaches feel the heat when chips are down," the Spaniard said at the pre-match news conference.

East Bengal are yet to open their account in the ongoing ISL, they lost to Bengaluru FC and Kerala Blasters, and Cuadrat promised to go for three points against FC Goa. "Yes, we will go for a win."

Cuadrat said his side is yet to gel as a team. "Anwar Ali played his first match of the season against Kerala Blasters, Hector Yuste has featured in just two matches. How many training sessions might you put in, unless you get game-time it's very difficult to get into the groove."

FC Goa, managed by Manolo Marquez who also doubles up as the Indian national team coach, have scored in each of their eight ISL games against East Bengal, though they've only kept one clean sheet in these meetings.

In the last four fixtures, FC Goa, who have one point from two matches so far, have always outwitted them to sneak away with three points.

East Bengal's Saul Crespo is down with a fever and is unlikely to play on Friday. The midfielder, however, was at the Salt Lake Stadium training ground watching from the sidelines as his teammates attended the practice session.

East Bengal's Madih Talal said since most of the players are new the team is taking time to settle down.

"We have not able to combine well in the last two matches. New players, including myself, are taking time to understand each other. In the last match I could not play well. But we will give our all against FC Goa," Talal said.

FC Goa coach Marquez is concerned about his team not being able to register victories. “We are not in a good moment, especially mentally."
