Spaniard Carles Cuadrat said coaching Emami East Bengal is the biggest challenge of his coaching career.
“Yes, it’s the biggest challenge of my coaching career. We are starting from zero. It’s a big club with a lot of history. History always excites me. In the last few years East Bengal’s performance has not been good.
“We have a new team now and we will work hard to make the supporters smile again,” Cuadrat said in his first interaction with the media on Saturday.
East Bengal have not won a major trophy for years but Cuadrat feels to buck the trend something needs to click. “Once East Bengal hit the strides, they will also be able to regain glory. Success cannot come overnight. It will take time,” he said.
