Cleiton Silva starred with a brace as Emami East Bengal made short work of Jamshedpur FC, winning 3-1 in Sunday’s ISL clash at the JRD Tata Sports Complex ground in Jamshedpur.
Courtesy of this victory, East Bengal have moved up to eighth in the standings with nine points from eight appearances while Jamshedpur FC remain second from bottom.
VP Suhair had put East Bengal ahead early in the second minute. Thereafter, Cleiton combined with Naorem Singh to score twice in the 28th and 58th minutes. Jay Thomas scored one for Jamshedpur FC via a penalty in the 40th minute.
