Diamond Harbour FC pulled off a stunning 2-1 victory over fancied Mohammedan Sporting in a Premier Division match of the Calcutta Football League on Saturday.

Rahul Paswan scored a brace to be the star for Diamond Harbour at the Mohammedan Sporting ground.

It was, however, Mohammedan Sporting who took the lead when Beneston Piecton Barretto scored in the 62nd minute. But Diamond Harbour levelled the scoreline four minutes later through Paswan. He then converted a penalty in the 74th minute to net the winner for the underdogs.

With four wins from five games, Diamond Harbour occupy the top spot in Group A, ahead of Mohammedan Sporting and Mohun Bagan.

In Saturday’s other matches, Southern Samity won 1-0 against Food Corporation of India (EZ), while Eastern Railway FC lost 2-3 to Aryan Club.
