If you think what happened at the Wembley Stadium during Euro 2020 and the recently held World Cup qualifier game involving England was insane, here's something that might force a change in opinion.
During an Eredivisie game that saw Vitesse Arnhem beat NEC Nijmegen 1-0, a stand at the Goffertstadion collapsed as Arnhem fans went bonkers following an away win. Fortunately, there was no injury reported. A video clip throwing light on the incident went viral on social media.
Some of the reporters covering the game were in a state of shock following the collapse of the stand.
"There are no injuries to my knowledge. I'm speechless. There are all sorts of things that go through your mind," Nijmegen president Wilco van Schaik was quoted as saying by Dutch broadcaster NOS.
"Fortunately, as far as I know, no one has been injured. I want an investigation to be carried out as quickly as possible," city mayor Hubert Bruls was quoted as saying by AFP.
