Sophia Dunkley (73 not out) and Katherine Brunt (33 not out) held their nerves and stitched an unbroken 92-run stand as England Women beat India Women by five wickets in the second and penultimate ODI at The Cooper Associates County Ground in Taunton on Wednesday. With this win, England also sealed the series with an unassailable 2-0 lead.

For India, captain Mithali Raj (59), unable to take the field later due to neck pain, again top-scored while her teammates’ lack of application with the bat dented the visitors’ progress.

Brief scores: India Women 221 in 50 ovs (M. Raj 59). England Women 225/5 in 47.3 ovs. England Women won by 5 wickets.
