England were dealt a blow ahead of the second Test in Chennai as Jofra Archer has been ruled out.
“Jofra Archer will miss the second Test against India in Chennai starting on Saturday after having an injection in his right elbow. The injection follows discomfort the fast bowler experienced during the 227-run win in the first Test at the same venue,” the England and Wales Cricket Board said.

England are hopeful of Archer’s availability in the third Test as they believe the treatment will allow the pacer’s condition to settle down quickly.
There’s good news for India as left-arm spinner Axar Patel has recovered completely and will be available for selection in the second Test. Shahbaz Nadeem, who featured in the first Test after Axar was ruled out because of pain in his left knee, and Rahul Chahar have been withdrawn from the main squad.
