East Bengal sign two more foreign players

East Bengal, to be henceforth known as SC East Bengal, on Saturday unveiled two more foreigners, Republic of Ireland midfielder Anthony Pilkington and Welsh centre-forward Aaron Amadi-Holloway.

The duo have already checked into the team hotel in Goa where they are quarantining, according to a media release.

Aussie centre-back Scott Neville was the club’s first foreign signing. “I know expectations are always sky high when you are playing for SC East Bengal,” Pilkington said.

The 32-year-old former Norwich City winger has played in England all along with more than 400 games under his belt with 83 goals in his 14 year-long career.

Earlier, in the day, East Bengal formally announced they will participate in the Indian Super League and all competitions as SC East Bengal as part of their rebranding exercise. A new logo with the addition of “SC” to the familiar emblem of burning torch was also unveiled.
