SC East Bengal on Sunday announced the signing of German midfielder Matti Steinmann ahead of the upcoming Indian Super League season.

Steinmann becomes the fifth foreign signing after Scott Neville, Anthony Pilkington, Aaron Amadi-Holloway and Daniel Fox. “The project under coach Robbie (Fowler) excites me. I cannot wait to get going,” the 25-year-old was quoted as saying in a club release.
