Mohammedan Sporting Club started their campaign on a high defeating Indian Air Force (IAF) 4-1 in the opening match of the 130th Durand Cup at the Salt Lake Stadium on Sunday.
Milan Singh (19th), Arijeet Singh (31st), AzharuddinMallick (45th) and Marcus Joseph (77th) were the scorers for the winning side. Saurav Sadhukhan reduced the margin for IAF.

Chief minister Mamata Banerjee inaugurated the tournament.
Mohammedan Sporting’s Russian coach AndreyChernyshev was pleasedwith the result. “We are very happy to win our first match. I am happy with the overall performance,” Chernyshev said.
Mohammedan Sporting’s midfielder Nikola Stojanovic had an excellent match orchestrating most of the attacks.
