Douglas Da Silva may quit as TRAU FC technical director.

The Imphal-based team, in their first I-League season, lost all the three matches so far and the Brazilian is not at all happy with the supervision of the team.

Douglas minced no words to say that that if he’s to continue in the current capacity, he should be the one to take the final decision and not anyone else.

“I will have a meeting with the general secretary of TRAU FC. We have to decide one thing: If I have to be here, I will decide about everything — the first XI, training, about players’ recruitment, release and everything else…

“If I am not given a free hand, then I won’t continue. I told the officials I can listen to everyone and their point of view, but the final decision has to be by me,” Douglas told The Telegraph on Sunday.

He will be meeting the club officials on Monday evening and then take a call on his future with TRAU FC.

Douglas added that the XI for the game versus East Bengal wasn’t of his choice.

“I didn’t make the team. It wasn’t my choice… I told them that if they want me to stay, I’d be the one to decide on all the important matters. Otherwise, I’ll quit.”

TRAU FC's next match is on Sunday when they host Real Kashmir FC in Imphal.
